The High Jump contest will be open to all with the overall winner being selected by maths! It sounds over complex, but actually its easy and means all ages and sizes can compete in the same contest!
There will initially be some advice and basic training on how to jump and safely land, then the contest can start.
Anyone can enter, with each contestant making 3 jumps – the best of which is used to decide their place in the contest. The final jump height will be your best cleared jump MINUS YOUR HEIGHT on skates! Yes most people will end up with a negative number!
But who ever has the biggest number – has jumped the highest – relative to their height.
Which means the kids have just as much chance to win as the adults! Should be interesting.
